I have extensive experience in JavaScript, with a strong focus on React for building responsive, user-friendly applications. My CSS expertise spans methodologies such as BEM, styled-components, Tailwind CSS, and modular CSS, which I use to create scalable and maintainable stylesAbilities.
I have extensive experience with Figma, where I’ve designed intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. My knowledge of UI/UX principles, including visual hierarchy, grid systems, and color theory, enables me to create designs that align with both industry standards and user needs. Each project further refines my design skills.
I’m Karol, a passionate explorer with an endless curiosity and a self-described "man of a thousand hobbies." I thrive on diving deep into new interests, analyzing their nuances, and immersing myself in every detail.
Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, I hold a strong connection to my hometown, though I’ve spent over a decade living in the United Kingdom, where I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for Computer Science, immersing myself in various disciplines—from backend development and database design to data analytics using R and Python. Eventually, I found my calling in frontend development, which perfectly combines my technical skills with my growing enthusiasm for design.
At the University of Portsmouth, I initially concentrated on databases and Java development, honing my technical skills and understanding of backend systems. However, a pivotal group project using Flutter reignited my passion for frontend design, inspiring me to explore web development and its creative aspects.
To prepare for my final year project—a comprehensive full-stack application—I dedicated myself to additional learning. I completed Jonas Schmedtmann’s JavaScript, CSS/HTML, and React courses, which significantly advanced my technical expertise and broadened my skill set.
I proudly graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a first-class degree in Computer Science, a milestone that reflects my dedication and passion for the field.
I began my academic journey with a Networking degree in college, where I graduated with a triple distinction and earned a scholarship in recognition of my academic excellence. This foundation set the stage for my continued pursuit of knowledge and skill development in Computer Science.
